My helmet is AS 1698. I contacted Motorplex and they said that they would not allow it. I can't be bothered going out and spending money on a new helmet, only to go and make one/two passes at the plex. looks like I am not going down to the plex after all. :( 3 hours ago, Tocchi said: a maintenance day would be sweet, but (1) I think most of us (usually) have done all the little mods and servicing ourselves, so that all is left are the big things, needing to be done at our own places (given the cars need to be "taken off the road"), (2) most of us struggle for free-time to work on our cars these days, so a whole maintenance day may be even harder to sort with a heap people. When I said at Phill's place, I meant Phillmeup and not Boganspeeds house. This way the car does not need to be towed anywhere. But we can always go back to Boganspeed's house again Edited 16/02/16 04:54 AM by masda74

Have a couple spare. Long as you fit a large. . Anyone's place is good if it's got room. I'd like to hold it but just enough room for 2 cars, let alone 6 or so. . Steve, drags, 2nd of march. Prove what 300,000kms on the clock can do. Ford power

Be careful that they aren't trying to shift new old stock....cause I thought they were discontinued and the ku39s were the replacement (although I could be wrong)....but if its only 2-3 yrs old it wont be so bad, as long as you're getting a decent discount lol so here's a noob question....how do you do a burnout on the spot without creeping forward? I was randomly watching some video where simon did a skid at a wedding and the couple were right in front of the car and he just sat perfectly and spun it on the spot for a little bit. But we can always go back to Boganspeed's house again If the helmet was produced prior to 2006 it wont have that marking as the standard was written in 2006. Prior to that it was AS1698. So what they are saying is they dont like your 10 year old helmet. Ask them to show you the ruling. Your helmet does comply with Australian standard. CAMS is not so lenient.

All 3 of mine are Snell and AS/NZ approved. And less than 3 years old. . Helmut. As in a mutt from hell. . Checked before purchasing, both less than a year old (1815). I've bought old rubber before. Makes a good tyre average. And as for skids on the spot, depends on manual/auto, amount of power and brake pressure.
