Have a chat with Matt from Racebrakes in Sydney - Really nice guy, good prices and knows his stuff :spoton:

He was on the forums a while ago but not sure if he's still around - Try AFF as well.

Have you considered the Project Mu's that everyone's been talking about?

Cheers,

Dan

thanks Dan, I bought my braided lines from Matt at Racebrakes, seems like a nice guy so I'll give him a call and ask about pads. I have seen the Project Mu NS400s mentioned a few times, will do some reading. I get a bit of low speed 'taxi squeal' from the OE brembo pads which I'm ok with, but noise like the HC800s make (which from what I read are supposed to be relatively quiet!) would literally do my head in.

Received my NS400s today. Due an oil change so depending on how low the existing pads are I may install them, keen to see how they go.

Apparently it rained at the plex tonight and some ute hit the wall big time

Yeah he did, got off the power at the end only to hit a wet part of the track and straight headon with the wall. Front of the car is completely fu(ked. Air bags and all!!

I took the bike for a little squirt, bogged down and ran a 11.3 @ 213kph...

No more snapping the bolt heads off your calipers Steve! Or at least keep an easy out kit and spare bolts handy lol.

What is the torque on the stock caliper bolts btw?

Hey Gents,

On the topic of brakes and such - Is anyone else in need of any IRON-X (Wheel cleaner/iron remover/decontamination agent) Stuff is gold!

I'm going to be getting some more soon as my DS pads saw me run through my last bottle pretty quickly hahaha. (Thanks to GeGe6 for holding mine until I could pick it up last time :spoton:)

I'd be looking at least for a litre but may just bite the bullet and shell out for the 4L bottle. If anyone is keen, drop me a PM and we can see how we go :) Could save on Postage if a few are keen?

Cheers,

Dan
