Cheers man.

No maps from me, made enough and passed them on to a few people. I'm going to be doing a lot of country driving in the next 5 weeks anyway so will be all driven out I reckon.

Take it to a taxi workshop, such as the one in North Perth (ie Bianca Automotive). Quick and cheap there.

Gave them a call....got all excited when he said "yeh should be able to do that for 1 hr each side @ $90 per hr".

Rang back to make the booking and he said "oh you have aftermarket stuff, that's a little more difficult, cause often shocks can be shorter, blah blah blah". Told him I thought it will be pretty much same process as doing OEM suspension, but still said, nah probably need it for at least 3 hrs....by the end he still didn't feel confident and said maybe try a specialist like WA suspension lol

@$270....I'd rather pay the family mechanic $300 and get it done on the weekend (instead of making up hours for being late into work that day - cause taxi workshop is only open during the week).

Call Angelo on 0412 124 902. He's got a workshop in Bayswater, across the road from Wilkinson Suspension.

Which is handy - you might as well get a wheel alignment done after changing out the front shocks.

Heck, maybe I should do it on Sunday, and put the money toward an Xcal....

Nothing hard....just install kings springs + bilstein shocks.

I'm just retarded at most mechanical things and will probably screw something up if I did it myself always then to break bolts, screws, clips, etc

Have you got the springs fitted to the shocks?

Heck, if it's just a matter of swapping shocks over then I'll have a go at it.

I have an exceptional ability to turn a simple one-hour job into an all-nighter.

I broke a world record this week for making the most mess ever in a single oil change. Really screwed that one up. That Camry (taxi) and I hate each other. When people win Lotto and are asked about the first thing they'll do, the common answers are about paying house mortgage, helping family, etc. For me, it will be burning that Camry.

Nah its got the used SSL springs on the front shock, but I want to use the new SSL/SSSL combo I have and sell the used springs later.

I thought all you had to do was use those spring clamps, compress them low enough, undo a bolt up top, shimey it nicely and put back together I.e. 5 min job each side.

Well at least that how it went on the last car they did it to (SSS Pulsar lol)

And yeh....difference is when I f*ck something up...I just cry, get frustrated and give up and call the expert. Then I would have wasted time, effort and end up being in a worse position I.e. can't drive it to the mechanic cause I've buggered it up. Plus where I live sucks balls for working on car (single driveway/garage, angled driveway, just a bad time all round really LOL)

Hmm be more than 5 mins per side but it is pretty easy. I didn't find it a challenge. I did it with hand tools as well would be even easier with a rattle gun

The rear springs take probably 5 mins a side to change each they are piss easy.
