Posted 25/08/15 11:37 AM Share Posted 25/08/15 11:37 AM Spotted (by) LazyBrennan today up at Hoddywell archery park in Toodyay. After doing the beginner trail Jen and I joined him and Annie on the intermediate trail and had a great time. I should have run the cruise up there that I was thinking of doing a couple years back, it's a great activity Jen and I have done a few times now. Also hilarious seeing people hit the trees or bounce the arrow off the ground into the target! Think I'm gonna be sore tomorrow though, first time with a 50lb bow. Thankfully compound so it gets easier at full draw. 15 targets after coming from a 9 target trail with a 20lb (recurve) bow was a bit of a jump. Keen to buy my own and make use of the 5 acres we bought hahaha...Was an awesome day mate cheers! Looking at buying a couple of the diamond infinite edge pros. I'll try not to hit a tree next time O.o Doesn't Steve just look fabulous in his partners jacket?

Cheap at $250 and reviews are overwhelmingly positive as an entry level to intermediate bow, and I like the feel\experience of the recurve bows better than the mechanical compound bows despite being less accurate/consistent. Also less to worry about in terms of bow "tuning". Plus since it's a takedown design the limbs can be changed for higher/lower draw weight items without buying a whole new bow. Might start on 30 or 35lb and see how I go! Edited 25/08/15 01:14 PM by -Stever-

Slowly losing the constant tingly feeling and soreness if I press on it...girly office hands reprazent.Jen said I can't buy the bow until she's up there with me again. Not like I can fire it in the burbs anyway, would have to be a weekend visit to our empty property and hope the neighbours sheep aren't hanging around
