Anybody wanting to swap a 3540 for a 3576 ?

You keep your rear housing.

Was told it was in good condition when removed for a precision 6466

Ok I've sorted my pipe work, picked up FG stuff today.

If you want, I'll do all of this stock piping for what I paid :) $100

There is no need for a aftermarket flex plate the fault does not lie in the flex plate it lies in the way it is attached.

Ive wondered if, before it failed, you were to replace the bolts with arp bolts and loctited them, or even the oem bolts, if that would prevent it from happening.

If you could do that without dropping the trans, it would be worth it.

If you have to pull the box, then you may as well add $250 for a nizzy one.

I dont even know if theres an inspection cover. Never bothered to look.

Box would still need to come out. Bolts loosening off is a symptom not the cause. The issues is the thickness and hardness of the stock plate. The torque from the engine distorts the metal on the loaded side of the plate and once the plates hole are no longer a tight fit on the bolts its starts to move under load and its all over.

Early bfs had issues with not loctite on the bolts and it would effect even stock cars bf2 on,the plate is the issue.
