Now you have your leaners for the "R's" if that's the case you got your "RE's". If you have a regular shadow best of spending your money on the bike you want in the end IMO.Welcome to the group! haha

I think learning to ride on a RE bike first is a much better practice that jumping straight on a high powered open class bike. Learning how to ride a slower bike quickly while you're learning requires a lot more effort and skill than simply twisting the throttle like you do on a big bike. I think this is critical in learning good technique. Problem you get is guys jumping straight on big bikes, not knowing how to ride properly, or within their skill level, and killing themselves (or someone else) by getting way out of their depth...which can happen extremely quickly on a big sports bike!I still have fond memories of riding the sh*t out of my gpx 250 on my RE license. The thing was slow as, but by god it was fun wringing the piss out of it literally everywhere. The advantage of that was you could do it and not break the law in the process, like happens so easily on a big bike. All this talk of bikes really makes me miss my Daytona Edited 18/04/15 07:21 AM by .Stripes.
