Any blokes on here used semi slicks on a daily? Found a bargain price while trolling fleabay for AD08r Yokohama Advan 265/35/18....but being semi slicks and coming into winter, not sure how slippery it will get in the rain?I know I hated my Falken PT722 in the wet (used to slide out literally at 25kmh when turning in roundabouts, etc)....so trying to gauge whether I take the plunge or not. Comparing to my Goodyear EF1A2's which never slide unless WOT in wet (which I haven't been brave enough to do)...so not sure if I should risk it or just go a normal tyre. Seller used the term "Fine for the dry weather, and adequate in the wet"

Sellers rekons they are the perfect street/motorsport tyre....he said they aren't as bad as a full semi slick, and that he had one guy get 20,000kms from a set that did a few tracks days as well. But yeah....180 treadwear, so not sure how my driving style will go. Done around 23,000kms on the goodyears (300 treadwear) and I probably have a mm or 2 left before they hit the inside tyre indicator things.Cheap too...he's doing the pair for $550 delivered and the RRP is $467 according to website: http://www.yokohama.com.au/Tyres/ADVAN-Neova-AD08.aspx2013 build date, so not too old.
