I was able to change out the rear springs to shorter one myself no issues as the control blade was so shot. After putting the new shorter springs in and later having new control blade bushes fitted, I was no longer able to remove the shorter King springs when I had a go. Did you use the spring compressors, or remove the 2 bolts holding the control arm? I should probably fit new pads while their out as well.
