So much for spring !

Lucky the Moto GP is on at PI today so I'll be getting some quality lounge time in.

Then gotta drop the oil out of the drag bike, strip and check the clutch, and pull the rear wheel out because I've wrecked my brand new slick through a stupid rookie mistake.

Luckily my crew guy is recently retired so he can arrange for a new one to be fitted in time for the first meeting on Saturday.

That's about $300 I really didnt need to spend :(

Also need him to get some new o-rings for my fuel containers becuase the orings on the caps dont like methanol and have expanded like crazy.

When I load it in the 8x5 trailer, the tailgate sits neatly up against the rear tyre which helps keep the bike snugly in place.

What I didnt realise that with the slick tyre being so soft after its been activated, that the edge of the tail gate has worn a groove into the tyre.

According to the wear holes, there is 2.6mm of tyre left and the deepest groove is just under 1mm.

So in theory I still have more than half the tyre left but with trap speeds exceeding 150mph every pass, sometimes more than 160, and a sh*t tin of power, I decided it would be prudent to replace it.

I used a front wheel chock that pushes the bike back about 2" so I'll just load it without the chock in future.

now car is paid off looking at mods. just read the entire PW Vs Plaz thread. brain is melted. love the idea of the light tube n fin but like the stg 1 PW.... yes yes, but 400rwkw is max. maybe it wont even matter for what I do.

anyways, keen to try my camber kit tomorrow.

Note - apparently its my anniversary today. 4 years to the day. yay me. im sure there is an emoji for b'day cake, cant be bothered to find it
