Quick question...can anyone confirm the fg 17" xr6 rims will clear standard turbo front brakes (322mm ones)?

Pics I've seen look real close; but saw a turbo ute for sale with 17" xr rims...so assuming it should be fine?

Also the harder question would be do you think they would also clear 328mm territory rears?

Cheers!

Yes and yes

all quiet on the Western front! :P (actually just noticed peeps have been talking in the cruise thread)

anyways.....

Can someone confirm these nuts are correct for OEM ford rims? http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/belmont/other-parts-accessories/brand-new-1-2-20mm-wheel-nuts-suit-ford-thread-/1040899586

I think I read that aftermarket rims use different wheel nuts (60 degree taper); and that the aftermarket nuts will not work with Ford OEM rims?

Or do you think I should try and buy genuine ones off a ford wreck or something? I'm thinking the gumtree ones would be way cheaper and don't look too sh1t lol

I have NFI ? I'm a noob remember lol I don't even know what tapered seat means :P

I just thought OEM rims needed specific wheel nuts I.e. the chunky silver ones which look similar to the gumtree ad I posted?

And remember when I bought my rota wheel nuts; in the ebay description it said 60 degree taper to suit aftermarket rims (and had some clause that it would not suit some OEM rims?)....

?????????

Tapered seat means the angle at the bottom, see this aftermarket pic from ebay

Here's a video

Now that I've seen the above, I can definitely say Falcons use a tapered seat. Pics of when I broke the lock nut key and hammered on the socket to remove them

Oh baby :) lol

I bet the guy did a fat farkin burnout on those tyres :P

On a side note; anybody know any cheap/good wheel restoration person/business?

One day I figure it might be worth refurbing them; and painting gloss black...could be good "track" rims (or summertime set if I wrap in semi slicks). They clear brembos too apparently?

Might just plastidip if the quotes are too steep...and then good enough for the time when I have to sell; when returning back to stock :P

But yeah wheel refurb info would be good if anyone knows someone decent
