Hmmm...only way I could check a thing like that myself is to get brakes cold, drive along slowly until end of street and stop, feel both fronts then both back brakes (carefully) to see if one of them is far hotter than the other?

Oh maybe jack car up and spin wheels but not sure how that would go being as engine is off and not powering the brake booster (or whatever it is that the car does to help brake power with engine on).

That goes against my norm as I like engine to be warm before driving I.e. 5mins minimum warm up...but I guess the brakes would still be cold...

Will try it out Friday morning when I drive car to tyre place to get third road force balance done :P

Thanks for the tip....second half made no sense to me; but I will mention it to brakes people when I ring them 2moro.

Gunna book car in a week or 2 to get 4 calipers rebuilt and install rotors, pads and braided lines....cant wait to stop without obscene vehicle vibrations lol

Cheers!

If it's been going on a while the pad wear would be clearly increased on one side as well, you'd need to check both pads in each caliper of course.

Going on a while (as in brake shudder yeah?).

Well yeah I've been too lazy and just been taking it easy most of the time; but what you said makes sense...pads and rotors are rooted so haven't really cared (pads still have heaps according to check tyre place did 2 months ago (I think 5-8mm) but whether they checked both pads in each caliper is highly unlikely.

But yeah; it feels cool cause short assed brake pedal and instant grip; but the thought that something is farked is kinda scary lol
