well, to give you an idea, when I crashed in america, I smashed my gopro into the dirt, it broke the mount but the sticky pad stayed on

Thanks for all the info Kyle. Yeah, I cant justify that much cash for a camera at the moment. That may have to wait till TAX time.

previously in "Kyle's useless information" I mentioned that in america they use lower octane rated fuel... just came across this pic.... kinda related.

"using higher octane fuel in an engine designed for lower octane simply wastes money and can result in less complete combustion, resulting in lower fuel milage"

Is that actually true? Or does it not apply to high performance/turbo vehicles?

So am I wasting my time putting in 98 (V Power) or sometimes P100 because my car is still stock? isn't stock FG XR6T supposed to be 95RON (or even 91RON I think it might say in the manual?)

I definitely feel a slight effect (maybe placebo effect?) sometimes when using P100 on my untuned car....unless its all in my head?? hahah but it does feel like it revs a little easier.....

95RON minimum for these cars, 98 recommended. ECU/knock sensors will detect the fuel over time and adjust accordingly, to some degree.

^^^^ Cheers!

I guess Ill stick to 98 then :)

So if I chuck P100 in then the ECU will eventually detect a higher octane and adjust as well? I will probably just stick to the 98 cause I get an extra 30kms per tank that way lol

But once its tuned Ill prob go for P100 so I can crack 300 with my limited mods

Oh and there's an awesome deal on a set of FG brembos (6 + 4)... all new with genuine rotors for $3400 on gumtree ;) just need to buy some braided lines (and maybe new pads if you are fussy)

Could be someone on these forums....but yeah I think its cheap considering Race Brakes Sydney are doing black brembos on special ATM for $2400 (fronts) and slightly cheaper price for the 4 pot rears...cant remember exact amounts

True! Lucky I've only done it 2 times :P

I just assumed it would be like when you put e10 in instead of normal unleaded (which they advertised as equivalent to 95 RON)....or is that bad as well???

They publicly said on news and stuff that its fine to substitute e10 for 95...but was that just lies? Been using it for a while in the gf's laser lol hope I haven't done too much damage :/
