Cannot beat the Big Diesel story!!! But I thought it was just me that does this sh*t ........ As Maxwell Smart would say "The old double-oil-filter- ring-seal trick.... What the hell do you do with 6+ litres of new oil on a garage floor other than mop it up.......... and then realise its Sunday and you have to get to Supercheap or Repco to get more with no damn car. No-one home, so it was a f***ken Cab....

Reminds me of my recent adventures in installed earls inline oil filter... First didn't tighten it up properly so I started the car and had the black stream of doom pouring all over my turbo/exhaust manifold heat shields.

Then as some of you know I left the old fitting in the turbo and nearly threaded the f*cker and was cruising round for nearly a week with it slowly leaking oil.

I think I still hold the title of biggest mechanic fail.

I dunno man. Snapping perfectly good bolts that hold your brakes in place is pretty dense. Good times. I was just luckier than you and found the last pack of bolts at repco that arvo.

WA Spotted, Chit Chat & f-ups with oil and such Thread.

if I say I haven't done any of them I will next time I do it so ill leave it.

in other news, any1 recommend a Ford wrecker? preferably an pick-a-part one? know of a bunch in melbs but doesn't help me now. Dont need parts, just the screws for all kick panel, glove box and the door strip. long story. well not so much long as I took it apart and waited too long to put it back together.

I've bought a few things from falcon specialists in maddington. Can seem pricey on certain things but the parts are all good.

Don't think you can pick parts though but I've never asked.

I agree with the thread title, we certainly do things just a little different over here in WA.
