Thanks Luke. I thought the same about oil light, too low revs for it to build any oil pressure.

What about intake manifold to head?

Is the upper/lower manifold gasket just a paper gasket like the tb to manifold?

I will go over and check both as you suggested.

Is there any way to test the crank angle sensor?

Cheers

Haha nah mate this one wont be going to Simon. Its not my car but my brothers BA that he is trading on a new car, just trying to help him out before he has to get it towed.

I'll have to go there and have a better look at it. The other night I just happened to have my scanner in the car so just checked for fault codes.

Cheers

I seriously doubt a non turbo ba would have eaten a set of gears.

Cas would throw bulk codes. It could be the intake to head gasket but Start with the easy ones. Upper to lower is a metal shim gasket.

Gotta hate it when alternators fail on a little trip between your house and a mates. The pulley seized. If yours is noisy, I'd suggest getting it done.

It was only booked in friday!

1 sleep to go until I pick my car up after 10 months of it sitting in the garage collecting dust.

New turbo, injectors, surge tank and fuel pumps, E85 tune and most important new oil feed line.

Just hope its not raining tomorrow!

Also long time no speak mate, I take it my under headlight typhoon intake is long gone? Aha
