Might be worth having a mechanical inspection done by a dealership or RAC mate? Fairly cheap ($150ish) & probably comparible to a carton or 2 of decent beer/bourbon. Just a thought & wish you all the best in finding out there's nothing majorly wrong with it :spoton:

Yeah think it might be the go.

Do you know if they come out and do the inspection? Probably not as they'd want it up on a hoist and what not yeah?

Just trying to save costs atm, would need to get it towed somewhere to be looked at unless it could be done from home haha

Maybe someone on here has a car trailer you could use?

I'd take it to a workshop over a driveway inspection. More access & can find things you normally wouldn't whilst up in the air.

also, drove my sisters FG XR6T ute. got a compleatly different feel to it. seems to have more power sooner, and its more consistant. where as mine has that moment of lag then suddenly kicks in. has any1 here got the FG F6 turbo with just exhaust/intake mods? Josh, did u upgrade your turbo or is it still stock?

Yeah I have a 66mm wheel jammed into the bigger BA/BF turbo and I can get a nanna nap in waiting for boost. I usually just recline, look up some mobile porn, makes some calls, check the forum etc and then eventually I start seeing positive pressure on my gauges!

I have the bigger wheel with a .7 front cover Kyle. It is a little laggier then the factory one but I prefer it because its much more predictable when it comes on, and makes up for it. Though you wouldnt know how yours has been tuned to come on either.

Well my bigger wheel made exactly 0 kw's more than the stock Ba/Bf wheel on the same boost. My mates BF made 396kw on the stock turbo on 19psi. Unless your going to pump 20+psi in at 6000rpm the bigger wheel and cover is a waste of time IMO. Zero extra kw and >500rpm more lag.......Fail! There is zero benefit to extra lag on the street!
