Grug, GS are a sh*t car for the $$$. They go fast with a tune, but that's all they have going for them.

When's the next cruise going to be? I have something newly acquired I want to bring along & have a play with you falcon drivers :bum:

Bags a ride shotgun! :spoton:

Dean, I saw that for sale on PF, exceptional value for money really.

It'd walk away from your typhoon yer?

Gruggles my brother bought land in ellenbrook for like 75k 6 years ago and I laughed at him and bought an R33 followed by a wrx. To buy land now cost me 4x that And he's got equity and a mortgage half the size!

It's a tough call but something I think is worth putting some thought in.

dont get me started on land prices etc.. a mate of mine bought house and land back in about 2000 +/-3yrs for about $120k in butler, went halves with his bro so payments were a whopping $110 each a week or something ridiculous..

instead of doing the smart thing and raping the mortgage/buyin more houses the tightass pingpingping paid the minimum and occasionaly took $10k out of the equity for random cash wasting so he now owes more then the original mortgage.. I'd murder an acre of kittens to only have to pay $110 a week FFS!!!!

pisses me off that he could have set himself up for life but didnt, and he was the worlds biggest tightass with everything else as well ... he once asked me to buy him a hashbrown back when they were 90c so he wouldnt have to break a $2 coin FFS!! /csb rant

moral, best time to buy a house or land was always yesterday

Lol manho!

But yeh that's my bro. f*ck spending 800 a week on mortgage Repayments.

One of my close mates is the tightest mofo you ever met. Doesn't spend a cent, refuses to buy a car and shares s house with 4 people to keep costs down. *beep* has 480k in actual savings..

Yer but he's not interested hey. "maybe when I have a million I'll buy an apartment"

And he's just on the normal 60-70k wage so it's not like he's earning big coin.

CRT got replaced about a year ago I think, but yeah was working when I packed it away :)

That mega saver sounds like a mate of mine. Lives with parents, saves bulk coin. We used to share a rental but even then he only had food/bill costs, never went anywhere and saved heaps of cash, enough to get him into a new car with tiny repayments. Hardly drives it much though.

I'm on low low low rent now house sitting but still can't save jack it seems, always some big bill around the corner, usually car related like rego, insurance, accident I thought was going to be worth paying cash for (WRONG), maintenance of the turbo...but some plane tickets and furniture expenses as well. Fuel is a killer each week though, even at 11.x L/100 I run 60L a good week, 90L a week if there's a cruise on or a long drive on the weekend. Good thing it's a fun car to drive or I'd be pissed :icon_ford:
