Yeah Mat I'm hearing you on the build quality. My passenger side doesn't get hot air anymore... again. Second time to be fixed under warranty. Anyone else had this?

Fkn pos ford has the worst build quality.

Went to press in the fog light switch last night because I suspected one wasn't work and the button went through the dash... Bunky sh*tter falling apart!

:icon_ford:

I think Ford AU should just give up if the cannot get their sh!t together and improve on build quality and start offering some of the technology on other global Ford products. Euro built Ford vs AU built is like chalk and cheese.

does anyone know if car-bra's are rated up to 300km/h?

IMG_1134.jpg

Wasnt it a good thing we didnt travel much over 120km/h as the 99% blocked turbo filter would have made the turbo sh*t immediately and the already loose flywheel may have come through the floor and chopped our leggs off. I also wonder if I would have seen the fractured harmonic balancer as it parted and punched a hole in the bonnet. At least the car is up and running now and I must thank Simon at XFT for all his help.

yeah, its hard to compare our home built cars to many others.... subi's are aways nice... mine did 230k kms and is still going with no issues (for sale btw :nudge:), and to compare a FG with a euro car u would have to do it with a '00 model to seem fair.

but I still love mine :), could have bought a decent M5 for the same price, but I wanted a ute

Holy crap!

Water in there mean bent rods yeah? If it's in all cylinders I'd think it's definitely done a full revolution and tried to squish the water in a couple of closed up cylinders...water not being very compressible at all (unlike air) means something has to give, most likely the rods pushing the piston up = bent rods? Dunno how valves would like it either but if they are closed maybe they'd survive?

Still, built engine time hahaha. That engine has been trouble amiright. That tax return might not go where you hoped Grug :)
