Keith the killer of the unkillable stock clutch! At least you all didn't get drugged and abducted.

Only buy radios with 5 watt power. Others are only toys and will not have range. Buy on ebay

$25 bucks!!! $50 for two. What sort of range would you realistically expect from a unit that claims 3ks? "500mW RF Output Power"

Ooh can get cheap the one you linked Aaron

http://www.chinavasion.com/product_info.php/pName/professional-walkie-talkie-set-uhf-and-vhf-fm-transceiver220v/

AU$79.47

Dunno what postage would be though.

Would a mod please OK my new thread with the poll.

Oh and add the date "Sat Jan 29th" to the title please :)

Some bloke points out on a nz site that that model works on (UHF): 400 - 469.995 MHz and so won't talk to other CBs :(

Also, illegal!

The el cheapo set work LOS for over 3 ks says this bloke...think I'm sold :P

I got this set and ive used them extensively in rugged remote areas and BOY!! I could hear my brother, Urnest, 3 1/4 miles away!! (Direct line of sight)
