Sorry Tiny, I meant yes it is not an issue :)

I have been over the pits ay Kelmscot to get an extension. The guys down there did not have a problem. I was first there and they all had a look. I asked them about the fuel.

There are a few rules in regards to lines etc etc.

And my engineer advised to go to Welshpool also ;)

Permits arent worth the money they are printed on. I once had permits on the dak dak and I still copped yellow love.

After that I now care not for cats or legal exhausts etc.

They might indeed help you pass pits the first time (not so bad 6 or 7 years ago when the second time was free lol) but mr plod will still sticker you if he wishes

Whoops at paper they are printed on. But I'll echo what Ross said, avoid Welshpool! I always went to Warwick and they didnt care for my exhaust.

Book in just before beer oclock on a Friday Kice ;)

Mikey - How far are you off getting some of those rocker cover garnishes done?

I have a Nizpro one to go on and would rather support local, but the JD custom one looks pretty good!

You sorted any pricing yet?

They are at least a month away still. I'm not getting much time to work on mine at work at the moment. The panel and paint industry is just flooded right now with repairs its crazy.

I'm trying to source a place locally for a mould as well still, but once its done I'll have a few nice options/variations available too.

I don't want to give any more details away in case someone is watching, but yeah it will happen eventually.

If you're looking to get one soon then by all means purchase one of his ones, they look like they are pretty well made as well.

Can not get my sticker off without a permit..... And a copper can give you a sticker with permits or without. But with permits I only need to worry about the other stuff.

Oconnor or Welshpool are the only 2 pits that check modifications, first come first served. I have been told Welshpool. But I am next to Oconnor.

What is the experience here with either of them two?

lol... Cheers Mikey.

Cheers Steve too haha!

Im in no rush at all and I would definately rather support local - have a Nizpro one that I am going to be using, but I have heard that they can overheat and thus in time I may replace it with one of Mikey's... Was just after an update, that was all...

The JD ones do look like a pretty well made unit though!

I was gang raped at welshpool for just a cooler and exhuast, and couldnt believe they passed an evo I took over at O`connor, the dude was calling other inspectors over to show them it was a cosworth motor, "probly wont ever see one of these again", he even added the wording cosworth to the engine number on the rego paper "that will stop anyone trying to give you grief if you ever get a sticker".

I had to take my XF over the pits a few years back I lived in Freo so it was the O'Connor centre for me. My wipers had no fluid in em and he just walked to the back as he said to run them...didn't notice there was no water :)

Went for a ride and he said "yeah there's an exhaust leak, I can hear it. take the car to watsee over at exhaust place round the corner, get back here before close and I won't charge the reinstaction fee". Did that, $5 weld later and I was good to go!

It depends on the bloke you get though, one of them there dad had loads of trouble with only a few months prior. Guess I didn't get him!
