Tyres will be fine too mate.

I got 295's on the ute and they are Legal (I can go bigger on commercial though)

Brakes may be an issue for paperwork only. Again, take it over pits and see how you go.

Its only paperwork that will slow you down MAYBE. You should be ok. Nice 6 cylinder family car and all :)

Wot else you got to worry about Kice?

Anything that is outwardly & noticably illegal?

Mikey - How far are you off getting some of those rocker cover garnishes done?

I have a Nizpro one to go on and would rather support local, but the JD custom one looks pretty good!

You sorted any pricing yet?

Info for all .... Download this form Modification application

Also read this stuff Mods that do not need approval

Fill it in, (my engineer said be as HONEST as you WANT).

Send it off. Do not say you have already done the work.

You will receive a letter in about 3-5 weeks hopefully saying the mods are ok to do. They MIGHT ask you for an engineering report on some of the mods. If so see Terry Southam Auto Engineer in Willetton.

If no engineering is required the letter will say its ok, and take it to welshpool pits when done to make sure its done properly.

If engineering is required you get a wad of paper from the engineer and send it in to Department of Infrastructure. They check it and in 3-5 more weeks you get a letter back saying ok do the mods and then take it to welshpool etc.

Costs for me so far...

Engineer $450.00 that's it no more

Gas Test at Roadbend Jaguar $110.00 if required

Pit inspection $69.00

Another pit inspection $56.00

All you guys with mods should try and get permits.

John, did you have permits before you got stickered?? have you got yours off yet? how`d you go with your fuel pump setup??

wasnt worth the hastle trying to be legit with the IM240, now that they have scaped that I have permits for all my mods :tonguepoke:

No I did not have permits. The cops and pits are fine with the mods because they are well done (No floppy cock pod filters here mate)

I am waiting still for my last letter from Dept of infrastructure.

its been 4weeks now.

When I get that its a 4am line up at Welshpool (Only Welshpool and Oconnor do Mod inspections)

I sent my engineering in with a gas test running BP98. My Engineer is 99% sure it will pass.He has had worse results pass the gas test criteria. If not I will do another gas test on E85 and breeze it in.

We (Simon and I) are just trying to get permits with pump fuel. If I pass with my CAMS then a straight out blown 8 will breeze it in.

my question wasnt aimed at the quality of your fuel setup john, it looks bombed for the record (that said anything can be formula 1 spec but its its not in accordance with ADR's than your rooted). rather that if the pit guys have an issue with it I.e. had you been over with it, specifically the briaded lines, in line filters, fuel reg etc.

plenty of engineers have told me briaded lines arent an issue but if you get a cock of a pit inspector than it can be, was what I was getting at.

if you havent been to the pits yet, I would also suggest going to o`connor by the way. I took my brothers cosworth evo 7 over there and it was A LOT easier than when I`ve been to welshpool.

you should pass the 5 gas test fairly easily, I didnt have any probs and a couple of mates with blown 8`s that did pretty well on 5 gas but not so great with the IM240
