Grug Member 1,318 Member For: 16y 7m Posted 19/05/10 12:31 AM Share Posted 19/05/10 12:31 AM Yeh Ford reckon it will cost $3100, first $2000 covered under warranty, $1100 paid by me. Whats a more accurate price figure?
tinyplums Member 1,080 Member For: 16y 6m 25d Gender: Male Posted 19/05/10 12:42 AM Share Posted 19/05/10 12:42 AM surely the whole thing should be covered by them or not at all? not 2/3rdshowever, to do it yourself would cost more than 1100 for a change over unit, so rock and a hard place there matey. Grug Member 1,318 Member For: 16y 7m Posted 19/05/10 12:45 AM Share Posted 19/05/10 12:45 AM My warranty covers $2000 per claim, unlimited claims. Would it be a better option to find an AHG approved mechanic to do the work, considering Ford like to charge an arm and a leg to do everything? I'm waiting for a call back from the service manager to see exactly what they're charging me (how much for the parts and how much for the labour). Looked around on the internet and a new turbo wouldn't cost me more than $2000, so wondering how they're charging me $1100 in labour (if that's what they're charging me).I believe they said they were replacing it with a new turbo.
