as I said before dude, your not going to be able to get anyone to replace a turbo and reinstall for less than 1100. just didnt understand how they could only cover so much and not all of it but that explains it. the fact they are forking out at all, I think you should count your blessings (I didnt originally see yours was an '05)

depends on how well you get on with the service advisor maybe the beer economy could help out and get them to split it into 2 claims.

having said that, what are they doing to the turbo, replacing it with a complete reconditioned unit or sending off to get fixed? or doing something on the shonky inhouse?

Considering I paid $2000 for the warranty I'd want to hope they'd cover it :P I don't really know the service manager at all, so getting them to split it into 2 claims probably wouldn't be an option. I'm waiting for a call back from the service manager to see exactly what they're charging me (how much for the parts and how much for the labour). Looked around on the internet and a new turbo wouldn't cost me more than $2000, so wondering how they're charging me $1100 in labour (if that's what they're charging me).

I believe they said they were replacing it with a new turbo.
