But I have been told that they are full on race karts and all.I recently went karting at Cockburn Kart Hire with a group of people and it was the best fun I had in ages! The track is a purpose built karting track and the carts go about 65km/h, which on a tight track was awesome fun. The track is about 1.1km long, we had 1x4 lap practice followed by 6x4 lap races. It was all under lights too. About 2 hours of great fun and all for $60.

I dont remember the track being that long but it was set up out of tyres so I spose it is adjustable..either way karts are heaps of fun

We had enough carnage with carts that do 65km/h HAHA
