ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 21y 3m 4d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 08/12/05 10:12 AM Author Share Posted 08/12/05 10:12 AM I can afford it or I would not have bought it.I would be crazy to take cash out of my company and I only lease cars, other than that I own everything. My wife is also my company financial controller, so she sorta holds the purse strings. She made me sign a 6 page contract that I would not mod the car aside from tint, paint protection and the mods that I have for the T already. It was quite funny reading as to how legal the contract is and she is serious, so I signed it.I think that Feb is a more realistic delivery date, but the FPV dealer spoke to FPV and he promised the car in the 3rd week of Jan, but they said my last car would be 4 weeks and ended up being 12, but this was due to the territory release hogging up the production line. He knows not to BS me because this is the second car I have bought from him, so there is respect there. As everyone has always suggested for new purchasers, I have started drinking while I wait for the car. Bought a case of Smirnoff Double black ice and I am on my 4th....so I am feeling happy and pissed all at the same time Now I just need to find out how to remove the bloody SatNav Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/21817-is-it-worth-it/page/5/#findComment-322942 Share on other sites

Now the wait For those that question whether the Phoon is worth it ,in the beginning I was one of the biggest Phoon bashers of all during the Phoon wars era. Changed my mind you bet, never going back. In regards to remarks as to people buying series 2 BA Phoons V BF not being on the money :kissmy:Paid a fair bit less than a similarly optioned BA 2 T on the road. Odometer on pick up 13ks ( only not 1000s) Shop around chaps. In other words I can sell it tommorrow and still make a few bucks after 6 months and 15000ks Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/21817-is-it-worth-it/page/5/#findComment-322950 Share on other sites

Bugger that!!!!!I own my car and would not dream a blowing that kind of money again on one let alone borrow $60 to$80 grand on one.Tax right off or not. What a bloody waste of money.Rather buy a wicked COMPANY boat for that one. As for delivery, I've stopped holding my breath and have returned to a nice shade of human again. There's currently a production delay at FPV...My BF was was apparently ready for delivery on the 1st Dec, but is still at FPV due to the delay. I heard (on this board) that there was a problem with the front and rear bars? With all the probs the BAs have had with chipping, I'm more than happy to wait. Sort of... Again, well done d00d!
