Wow ....just paid 390 for the 15k service...270 labor the rest for oil and small stuff...City Ford

Although I must say that getting the ecu updated (Manual MkII build oct 04) has made a huge difference to my gear changes...alot smoother I actually thought it was my driving style however now you wouldn't even notice the change. I think the revs hold up alittle more between changes. Don't know if I can tell any diff to the power as it was peak hour on the way home.

I thought they may of commented on my front grill I installed. Got t off ebay some months ago however the car does not run any hotter with the grill installed.

cheers

There labour rate must be about $200 an hour that is a rip off for the first service.

And I bet they still did not do the exhaust and turbo bolts what a disgrace to charge this amount for a new car.

The reciept states retorque of inlet and exaust manifold, plus they did rotate the tires...

From the manual Service A = 48 min, tyre rotation 18 min, turbo inlet/ex 54 min that's 2 hrs and they actually charged me $237 ex GST (270 was incorrect above oops)

Labor 237.00

Oil Filter $15.13

Engine flush 13.10

fuel system cleaner 13.10

engine oil GTX2 $62

Shop supplies 15.00

Environemntal 3.00

PLUS GST $36

Total 397.55

Got the 15k coming up on the phoon....

Wonder what that's going to set me back..

Going to insist on full synthetic oil also...

Got into a good argument last time with the shop boy about whether my turbo would blow up cause I am using full synth.....

Nice to see you itemised the account. I do this every service.

I also suspect some of the members on this forum don't get the inlet and exhaust manifolds tightened as they should. No fault of the member the dealer just doesn't do it, so people get a cheap service.

You are correct in the exact hour rate. They can only charge the Ford allotted time for each job. My Labour total $159.60 and that included 18 min to replace wiper blades. That equates to $70 per hour.

From the manual Service A = 48 min, tyre rotation 18 min, turbo inlet/ex 54 min that's 2 hrs.

I think you should phone them and make them tell you the houly rate you were charged. I don't think any dealer that charges $120 per hr plus GST.

Have a look towards the end of this thread, 3 messages up.

I have a Question.

What are the 2 items here you listed?

Engine flush 13.10

fuel system cleaner 13.10

These are not in the normal service shedule. So they charged you whatever they wanted to labour wise for these items.
