Just wondering who supplies Ford their pads and replacement rotors for brembo kits.

My car will be under warranty for a while, and I'd like to see what it'll cost to get the same part numbers etc, but from someone other than Ford servicing.

There are other aftermarket options of course, but I want to hit up the Ford supplier direct to see what the go is, and how it compares to alternatives, cost wise.

Cheers.

Savage,

You will find the prices will be 1/2 to what Ford charges.

I would guess that the Australian Distributor for Brembo will be their supplier or Brembo themselves.

PBR supply most of the Ford brakes.

I have seen the 4spot Brembo pads on Ebay for $500, when Ford are charging nearly $1500

Found some Ford linkage re: Brembos and pads used. A little more techie than I'd seen before, particulary about the calipers, and pistons used.

Ford guff about Brembo brakes

From the above link:

The 6-piston pads are 'JURID 673'

The 4-piston pads are 'Textar T4000'

So there it is :stirthepot:

I know who it is, but im not going to say who so I dont get in trouble!!!

His business operates just outside of Canberra.

He imports AP Racing, Brembo and several other high end motorsport brands.

He is contracted to Ford not to sell the genuine stuff to you, but he sure can sell you whatever else he wants! IE a much better Brembo setup! Or AP instead.

I did exactly the same thing when wanting to upgrade my brakes. Instead of going Brembo, he strongly recommended AP Racing. And I am happy as larry.

Hope this helps. :thumbsup::smilielol:

If your chasing pads for the Brembos, or even the Brembos themselves or two part alloy hub/rotors to suit, Cebco in Melbourne have them in stock. A set of front pads is someone between $300-$400, and these are Texstar pads.

They have a website as well. I purchased my complete Brembo set-up as a bolt on kit from Cebco. Very happy as I have been using them for over 12 months.

Cheers

Robin.
