As blueboost says, there is no reason why you should get more power by regapping your plugs to a smaller gap unless your plugs were misfiring/blowing out due to increased boost in the first place. Theoretically, the wider the gap the better the flame front/ignition of fuel/air mixture and the better power you should make. On a stock car there should be no reason to regap the plugs. Have you had any mods done to yours? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/21787-regapped-plugs/#findComment-322531 Share on other sites

Capa flasher and custom tune, centre muffler removed with just straight pipes CAI. K&N. IC, and Injectors 285rw. Running 12-13 psi Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/21787-regapped-plugs/#findComment-322577 Share on other sites

I'm very surprised that with that much boost your car wasn't running really badly without regapping your plugs!! Regapping plugs is simply a must when you increase boost to those sorts of levels, I'm also surprised your tuner didn't make that abundantly clear to you.
