Hi, picked up Phoon from 3k service & oil change by Centre Ford

(Oil change with no labour charge = good, courtesy car was Focus = not so good. This could have been becasue I got done speeding in the last courtesy car though' )

Anyway, JB prices were Performance exhaust $1,047, Signature $1,745.

Performance induction $ 1,565, Signature $1,686...apparently these are cost prices to the dealer.

All I'm looking for is another 10-15%ish power..without obviously voiding warranty as car is so new.

I've has a look on the other threads, but not dug up much on modest Typhoon upgrades. As a guideline, I'd like enough torque to use 6th more often when I'm doing the longer trips..not had anything race me yet to suggest I need more power elsewhere! :crybaby:

(Perth based btw)

I think your about to stroll down the wrong path here.

You would gain a lot more from getting a custom tuned edit on your F6 and keeping everything else stock. This way the results will be much, much better than what you could ever get with that JB exhaust and induction kit.

Send a PM to Xtreme F6. He has a typhoon and I'm certain he's in Perth, so he should be able to help you know worries at all. :fool:

I'd have to agree.

Just get the edit and have a set of custom tunes arranged.

The standard exhaust is good.

Most aftermarket systems (especially large diameter single pipe) have a tendency to drone (resonant frequency) at a given rpm .... :fool:

The APS exhaust system is excellent, but the Edit will provide the bang for buck, and the versatility that several different tunes can provide.

Edit can give you 20% power boost easily.

And you can put it back to stock as well....

or have a valet map (4000 rpm limit, lo boost) for those times you leave your car for fitting of tyres, or servicing -post warranty)

damn that sounds like a good idea !! not that ive left my phoon anywhere yet but id hate to have anyone thrash it!! especially considering that would prolly lead to assault charges being pressed against me yada yada..

I think id make it 2000rpm and 50kph haha
