I've done the passenger side foggy twice in just over two years. :spoton::angry2:

Now I have Territory Fog Light covers. :crybaby:

:k24t:

If you turned them off during sunny days you wouldn't have that problem!

But worse than those people with the front fogs on all the time, are the idiots that are too ignorant to know that the rears also come on at the same time in certain european cars, BMW etc.

It isn't illegal to have the fronts on but it is illegal to have rears on (Vic).

that's funny cause in NSW it's illegal to have your foggys on if its not foggy. As for the rear, your not talking about those single over lumient red lenses at the back that drive you crazy in clear whether are you? (Like on Hyundai Exels)

Its the same in Vic mate, No Fog = no fog lights or you get fined

Spewing hope I didnt pay too much!! Mine was definately a stone!!! You can see where it first hit the front bar about 4 cm fron the light edge, and has then reflected off and made a nice hole in the light and shattered the rest. Must have been a fluke cos its about my first stone chip!!! Car has done ~11000 kms. About 7 of them on gravel!!! I'll be taking cro's advice......thanks champ. I never have mine on during the day so that could not contribute.

Stone or not, the plasticised material covering sounds like THE solution to me.

It sounds like it may well stop the cracking due to spoiler flexing etc as well.

Bugger using covers, I'm taking the plastic coating advice! :gooff:

Another reason they crack is when they are on they are very hot.

A bit of rain, drive through a cold puddle and they will crack.

Good possibility mate! I guess (thinking on this though) that the plasticised coating may assist.........

Yup yup, on my last XR I cracked so many foggies due to heat, didn't know about the film back then.

Now on this one I've driven with the highbeams on for hours on end (driving lights come on with highbeams) in the rain and no cracks :)
