Best Mufflers were saying to change the Dump To a 4" instead of 3" as 300+ the 4" is needed.

Yeap, dump pipe needs to be changed to go more then approx 270rwkw, this is the max power I hit before we had to increase the size of the exhaust system, including the cat and dump pipe.

so the stock system can go handle more then?

um, not sure I follow your questions. Let me be a bit more specific on my previous post.

I was running the std dump pipe with the 3" dump pipe back system (including the same cat you get on these systems now). I had that setup tuned to about 270rwkw before we found that a larger system was needed. At this point the system was upgraded to 3.5" and the time pipe is a custom split pipe, however a 4" pipe would be more then enough for over 300rwkw.
