I visited our local Ford dealer here in Newcastle, gave him a list of parts required and guess what, all in stock and handed streight over the counter no questions asked! A complete (less gauges) FPV twin gauge pod!

Now I have a question I hope someone can help answer. What gauges brand/type etc are you using. I haven't priced genuine Ford, my mortage is already high enough!

I have noticed that the silver surround clips perfectly to a standard VDO 52mm gauge. Unfortunately VDO have the most borrrrrrrrrring styles I've ever seen.

I purchashed as nice pair of Boost and AFR Autometre gauges with carbon fibre faces but the don't suit the the factory surrounds!

Any help will be appreciated. Even a link to some info will be awesome!

hey mate,

how much did you pay for the fpv gauge pod?? just wondering, as down here in canberra I got quoted $250. got friends in newcastle, so it might be worth my while getting them to pick it up and bring one down when they next come to canberra.

Nexus Gauges from Autometer (Rocket Industries) :spoton:

I have attached a daylight pic as well as a night pic showing one of the 7 colours that matches the dash.

The Nexus range have the same style of silver surround as the Autometer Carbon Fibre ones I already have, how did you attach the Ford surrounds?

I have autometer ultralite gauges in mine(see pic)

They do fit, but a bit of modification and grinding is required.(a dremel comes in very handy!)

The bezels I had secured on with double sided tape, but they kept falling off and gave me the :spoton: so I have left them off. Looks just as good anyway IMO...

Gday

Just in the process of putting mine in now. Im using autometer cobalt, lights up blue same as the dash. I had to grind the crap out of the inside and cut the back of the pod out to fit them in, Ill scratch build something to cover the back when they are wired up. Looks heaps better than the ss inductions pod I reckon. Worth the cash!! :spoton:

Still havent decided if im going to use the silver suurounds yet. looks ok without them I think?
