I must say im actually a little surprised that most people agree he got what he deserved personally I do to.

As far as im concerened it was all about choices every one has them and made them, and whatever our choices we must live by them whatever the concequences (spelling) may be!!

The part that :hiwelcome: me the most is this drug smuggling POS got a 25 rings of the bell in sydney this morning to remember him by, what a crook of :spoton: the soldiers that died for this country dont get the support he did! Unbelievable

Why we as taxpayers should pay for proven rapists, murderers drug dealers etc to live in jails with better living conditions than 25% of the community live in!!

Something not quite right there IMO

lets hope his brother who has sat behind bars himself for smuggling drugs, has learnt a thing or two.

They know when they smuggle drugs (especially heavy stuff like heroin) that innocent people might die (ie, the end user).... they also know if they are caught in the wrong place with the drugs that a death penalty applies. They take the risk with other peoples lives as well as their own. I am glad the life that ended this time was that of the smuggler and not the life of a son or daugther that one of us have on this forum.

Well I'll be the one to disagree :fool:

It is interesting to note how quick Australians are to condemn someone to hanging, despite us not supporting the death penalty here :fool:

I'm also getting a bit sick hearing about "the poor drug addicts" who take this sh*t, are the drug dealers injecting this into them, or do they make a choice which can ruin their lives, much like the poor young Australians who for what ever reason decide to courier this stuff.

So regardless of what the law is an any country around the globe, we should just sit back and accept what would appear to be a harsh sencence for a minor crime :spoton:

Finally I fail to see where the difference is between pre-meditated murder, and planned executions of this kind, whether they are performed on Australians or not.

Anyway, I could carry on, but I am sure I have stirred the pot sufficiently :hiwelcome:

finally someone who has a heart and soul, sure he did move the drugs and what not, but death for that is f***ing harsh. No one has the right to take another persons life. And exactly if you want to take drugs and you die, sucked in, if your life is that sad and pathetic that you need to do that sort of sh!t well good luck to you.

And if you follow this same stance eveyrone is taking do the crime do the time or DEATH in this case. THe bali nine should all be hung aswell.... but somehow ppl take a different view on that which just shows the level of hypocricy around.

He should have got life, not the death penalty.

what do you mean a different stance on the bali nine??? *beep* that.... they deserve a bullet in the head... which is what they will get in that country.

lets see what you say when your son or daughter is pushed into it by their mates or so called friends (I hope this never ever happens but is just an example)... you Think its not possible?? did you ever try one cigarette cause of mates or maybe sniff something cause all your mates did?? Now if your son or daughter did this just once due to peer group pressure and died, I bet my left nut that you would want the priicks responsible for supplying the stuff hung by their balls and left to die. Dont tell me you wouldnt cause you would be lying!!!

If you have kids you will know what I mean... if you dont, you willknow what I mean when you do

Have to disagree but if you know your children and educate them then its their choice, I dont believe people get forced into taking drugs and keep taking drugs, they choose to.

Dont disagree with this. The unfortunate thing is that it is always the dumb ass mules that get caught. These people are generally down-and-out, often have lower IQ's and have been picked as soft targets by the real bad guys.

no probs... we will just disagree.... but if it did happen to your kids... would you just say to your kids it was your choice (that's if they lived)?? or would you find out why they took it, who supplied it and try to get these people dealt with accordingly?? Im guessing the latter....

its not just about education... my parent educated me great... but I still smoked cigarettes with mates etc... I was told not to but I did... why because my mates did....

(hypothetical scenario) you have a 15 year old girl and you educated them the best you could and you think they are an angel as most parents do... you taught them sex education etc... this does not mean that your angel is not out there boning their boyfriend behind your back although you educated them not to at this age... they are kids and will do stuff although they were ducated not to.

my 2 cents

So murder by government order is ok?

WTF

No one MAKES these ppl use drugs they choose to. There will always be drugs, petrol metho whatever you cannot force ppl to take drugs, they choose to.

So their gov/legal system chose to murder someone. Call it law, call it war, its murder and the only person hurt was his family and freinds.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

You're right mick.

The way they put him to death was very barbaric in this day and age. The death penalty achieves nothing in my opinion. All of you who say he got what he deserved, would you feel the same if YOUR brothers or sons smuggled drugs to another country? Would you be happy for them to be put to death? Do you think they would deserve that? He didn't deserve to die. Plain and simple.

my two cents anyhow..
