I installed a Hyperflow intercooler and am not happy. The problem is the power steering cooler is in the way of a perfect fit and was wondering if anybody had done one and what the solution was.(I heard it can be shifted but I cant see how.)

Any replies would be greatly appreciated

Cheers, Bill.

Although I do not have that cooler I have an ASE instead. I just turned the two brackets holding the power steering cooler around the other way so that it sits all the way back almost touching the radiator. I also bent the air con line back towards the radiator aswell.

When I installed my Phoon cooler the P/S pipes got in the way, I swapped and turned around the brackets, whic in turn lowered the P/S lines, all fixed, no worries.

Thanks for that I did not think of doing that. I will pull every thing off again and fix it.That was the only problem I had.I had a look at another turbo and the p/s cooler was gone altogether.Mine is a MK11 the one I had a look at was a MK1 so I am not sure wether the first turbos had a p/s cooler.

Thanks :spoton:

A great post that one. Installing one of these is not for the faint hearted. The one I put in is diferent than yours it is black and the top intercooler pipe is on a different angle than yours and was no problem. The only real problem was the p/s cooler and the bottom of the cooler is sitting to low and it is hard to get the splash guard back on and is not a good fit so I am going to strip it down again and do some more mods.I think if these coolers were 10mm shorter top and bottom it would be a lot easier to fit. If your car is lowered like mine you have to be very careful where you park.

Thanks
