Im (sorta) looking at buying a second hand turbo, and just wondering, what is the average price (dealer and private) for something like the following:

2004, auto or manual

colour: Velocity, red, not really that picky

options: would like two of these: sunroof or leather or premium sound or 18's.

KM: ~ 20K

no mods

Thanks for the help in advance! :spoton:

Cheers,

Reece.

Ive been following the market.

07/04 black auto xr6t 20,000kms $26,400 stock immaculate

07/04 silver auto xr6t 38,000kms $25,200 " "

03/04 mercury silver auto 43,000kms $24,400 " "

These are what they are going for at Pickles auctions in Sydney (these are not ex chasers)

Fowles auctions in Moorebank Sydney sell alot of ex hwy patrol and you can usualy get a white mark II for around 25k with the premium brake package.Very hard to find one with a decent paint job though as most have faded bonnets due heat build up whil idling.

I just bought a Aug build 2004 auto with 20,000km's. Options were Leather, 18inch wheels, Premium sound, Premium brakes, towbar & mats. $31,000.

There is literally only one scratch on the car about the size of a hair on the front bar.

What a bargain, are cars this cheap easy to find or were you just lucky? That at full retail would have been $55k on the road :spoton:

reading these last couple of posts...

I reckon I have paid too much for my car...26k-30k, 17's, no premium sound, no premium brakes and no 18's... I got mine for 32k on the road from a dealer. If you read my sig I have added all the none standard modifications to it in the last 6 weeks...

Oh well... that's life, someone has to be sucker in this game :spoton: if only I had known of this site before I had even started looking for an XR(damn you Holden/HSV)... maybe I would have had prem sound, 18's and an auto which are quicker... :spoton: I will make do with what I have got :fool:

The arse has fallin out of BAs in the last few weeks since ford started giving BAII runouts away for like $38 grand!

Theres like $2,000 cash back now to which makes it even worse.... Good for those who wanna buy second hand ones now, bad for those of us who paid big bucks for them.

Also remember that the early 02's are now out of warranty to which does affect resale drematically!
