The airbag light located at the botton left of teh dash goes off after its 7 seconds.when starting to drive the airbag light comes on. The sequence:flashes 3 times (on, off, on, off, on, off) at 1 second intervalspauses for two secondsflashes 2 times (on, off, on, off) with 1 second intervalspauses for two secondsthen repeats the above process three times then stays on.Rang ford and they said there is a TSB for this error. She said something about two wires touching.Anyone experienced this before.I have leather seats with side airbags and the normal front and passenger setup. Took it back to the dealer and apparently there is a problem with some cars with side airbags. It was either a bracket or switch somewhere under the seat that was faulty or loose. They fixed it under warranty.

If the light is on it will store a code which can be used to check it out. saves time & is safer than pulling random parts apart. Also, as far as I know these do not have flash codes so the flashing of the dash sounds a little wierd to me.
