I'm down to 14.2l per 100kms on average now since the day I picked it up six weeks ago... which I reckon is quite acceptable :spoton:

I have a auto standard MK2 with 22000kms that I've had for 4 mths.Do mostly peak hr driving and cannot get anything under 18L/100km.Even when I drive like an old lady trying to conserve fuel.Struggle for any more than 350km for a tank.

Do you think a dyno tune by someone who knows the T would be a good idea??..or any other tips to improve the economy.Just put in a K@N filter.

Standard MkI auto with 56k on the clock. Always run Caltex 95 Ron (fleet card) and 36psi in the standard tyres (still have original set on!). Average over last 12 months (26,000 kms) was 13.5L/100km (measured) [14.3 computer] from combo school taxi in Canberra and south coast weekenders.
