I did read the web page. and quote,

The familys attorney said the Miami jury award exposed "the myth that the problem with the Explorer was a tire problem."

"It's not,". "It's a stability and handling problem."

Last month, Bridgestone Corp., manufacturer of the Firestone tires involved in highly publicized 2000 and 2001 safety recalls, agreed to pay Ford $240 million to settle claims. Meanwhile, Ford has had court awards go against it in other rollover cases.

Ford executives told Congress that rollover problems associated with older models of the Explorer SUV were linked to Firestone tires. But Kaster said Ford engineers testified during the trial that they knew in 1989 that the vehicle's chassis needed to be widened and lowered. "

All of the statements on this topic have been sweeping statements ie. juries are idiots , judges are idiots ,there just greedy etc.

So if you are going to dish it out learn how to take it!

Please tell me how many posts do I have to make before I can express my opinion?

"In a statement, Ford expressed its condolences to Hall's family, but said the accident occurred when the driver of the Explorer fell asleep at the wheel."

I'll take anything you've got to dish sweetie;

Everything in Cowie's first post is correct, hence my comment, don't call people Idiots by questioning the veracity of his post without getting your facts straight.

If you've been around for a bit longer, people would probably cut you some slack, though I know some here wouldn't..... I guess they take offence to being called "Idiots"...And yes I do watch Media Watch, the main thing they slam reporters on is exactly what you've done, not getting thier facts straight.

I dunno how many posts one has to make here berfore your opinion is considered valid, I'll let you know when I get there :sleepystuff:

Anyways, Welcome to the forums!

YOB POM, if you have something to say then go ahead. Normal rules of ettiquette apply of course, but the amount of posts has nothing to do with intelligence.

Looking foward to hearing from you.

I used the idiot as it was being used to describe the Judge and jury.

But unlike some it said it to people who had a chance to reply.

Ford claim he fell asleep at the wheel, but it would seem the jury didn"t buy it.But what the hell would they know. they only sat through all the evidence from both sides before they came to their conclusion.

And by the way sixfan it's Mr.Git to you.
