After having a few problems with my tune in Sydney (some may know who tuned my car but I am not going to start abusing anyone) I decided to venture down to Melbourne for a Nizpro tune.

Before I went to Melbourne I installed an ASE IC.

The car was put on the dyno and was making about 250rwkw. I wasnt really expecting to gain much more power but just to fix the few problems I was having.

Probs were ---

* Car jerking when foot was taken off the accelerator

* Inconsistant boost

* Poor idle

Got the car the next day

Results ---

* No more jerking, very smooth

* Boost linear and constant to 13-14psi

* Excellent idle, fixed by taking out spark plugs another tuner put in (which

were not iridium type) and replaced with Typhoon plugs.

Also as a bonus which I was very surprised was to see 305.9rwkw :spoton: that's more than 50rwkw with a new IC and tuner.

It is a totaly different car to drive, so much smoother than before and so much more powerful.

Valve springs were fitted too, before and after dyno graphs showed little imrovement in power but flattened out the curve past 5000rpm, also a very healthy piece of mind.

The ASE IC proved worthy with several back to back runs showed power being within a few kw of each other.

I would highly recommend Nizpro, even to the Sydney boys, the 9 hour drive back was alot of fun with that much power on tap. Melbourne is definately Ford country, everywhere you look there are Fords.

that's enough mods for now as I am totaly happy how its running and I cant afford a new gearbox as I am still running the T5.

Ahaa so it was you igsta. I watched the entire 'sort' happen. Couldn't believe how quickly and adeptly the young fellah removed and replaced the valve springs. The mapping went so smoothly I initially thought I had been stooged and this was an Edit setup. When I saw the 98 map power figure they achieved and asked what figure you had on arrival I thought that you'd have bloody good trip home.

The are inpressive that Nizpro team, that's for sure.

Congrats on your maps too they look really solid.

Hope your clutch hangs in there long enough to enjoy.

Cheers,

Dingah

igsta & dingah2,

I'm glad it worked out very well for both of you.

Both Simon & Dave know their Ford T's better than anyone in the country (IMHO), the only downside to this was that less time was spent on my car.

The drive back from Melbourne is fantastic if you take the back country roads.

That's great news igsta! :spoton:

I'm planing to have Simon and Dave work their magic on mine shortly.

What other mods do you have to gain the 305? Besides the I/C and Valve Springs

I am going to give Nizpro a try next. Still a few little things that frustrate me with my current tune and I cant afford to always leave my car for a whole day for perhaps 30 mins on the Dyno.

Congrats on the results nizpro really know their stuff. They recently tuned my car got about 305rwkws out of it and started to ping could this be due to a 32degree day was backed off to 295rwkws. Is it worth going back on a cooler day to see if they can get more out of it or would it be a waste of time.

Any feedback would be appriciated.

cheers

George
