Excellent ride and handling characteristics.Far better than Koni's imo.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Do you know what the spring rates or percentage increase is over standard for the Llovels? Bilstein's Asia-Pacific HQ was in Melbourne, and it was there that they custom make shocks for rally cars, race cars etc etc in this part of the world. A mate of mine quite a few years ago went there with his old Celica. And they custom made a set of shocks for him - the same guys that do their race car shocks. The result was absolutely amazing. He could take 90 degree corners at around 90kmh and the car stayed completely flat. I remember well as I was carrying two large coke slurpees at the time, and expected them to spray all over the car...and they barely moved.very impressive shocks. I cant imagine how good they would be in a T.PS, if you go for very hard ones, ask whether the shock mounts need reinforcing. I know in some old cars good shocks work great - until one punches through the bonnet after the mount fails! Probably not so relevant with the T. Problem is a rebuild costs close to the price of a new shock.Only what I have heard. Can anyone confirm???Chris Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/21368-bilsteins/page/2/#findComment-318371 Share on other sites

Although stiffer than the original dampers, they provide much better tyre contact with the road on rough or corrigated surfaces. I would highly recommend them. Couple hours labour so $1200 should see you smiling on the road.
