It doesnt output a rgb signal (if you dont have a blau box) well have a look at this!

http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?I...eMax=&SUBCATID=

have I missed something or is it just this easy!

I was under the impression (when reading through the long thread on digital tv) that the output of the digital set top box being used was an interlaced signal (via SCART), I.e. the Ford ICC takes a RGB+Sync NTSC interlaced signal. If this is the case, then the converter that you mention above will not work.

Can anyone confirm this? Or at least put me in my place :)

I think you're right ROBiiE

Yes Robiie you are right however, its not hard to grab the rgp signals from the board before it hits the video output IC.

well not hard if you have a cct diagram anyway

True enough hahaha

I was just mentioning it so that people don't go out and buy the adapter/converter if it doesn't work straight out of the box.

Thanks for clearing it up about the signal converter, I have a Blaupunkt 5501 so didn't require one, was just suggesting it as an option to others.

Has anyone tried the tuner, How did it go? ShockF6 were you talking about this box?

yes that's the box I was talking about. funny thing is I saw 3 jaycar staff members mucking around with this unit for over 1 hour trying to get a signal / any signal from ANY antena :spoton: and to top it off they tried all the units they had in stock! all no go.

this was a couple of months ago when the AFL grand final was on and the staff in the shop really wanted to watch it! but in the end they just used the analogue tuner from a vcr and it worked fine.

Im sure if you got lucky enough you would get one that worked :crybaby: But for me I would hate to see anyone waste there time and money on this one.
