I have another bit of velcro tagged to my Mobile phone presenter, and this makes it neeeaaarly legal to use whilst driving..GPS unit will work in the little pocket under the radio. I find with my driving it could end up out the window if I leave it on the dash..BTW< sorry to hi-jack, but I have a Bluetooth GPS unit and GPS Software (Destinator) for Sale in Perth if anyone wants it-> $250 all inclusive. I find with my driving it could end up out the window if I leave it on the dash..heh. That's why I have a little windscreen mount for my receiver. Sits above the rear view mirror nicely where it has a full view of the sky (for good reception) and doesn't distract me when driving.

I pulled the passenger airbag panel out (No passenger airbag in the ute) and cable tied the GPS receiver to the intrusion bar, it works a treat. I have a powered cradle that also supplies the power to the GPS receiver so I don't need to access it.

faygun Member 389 Member For: 21y 7m 2d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 18/11/05 04:47 AM Share Posted 18/11/05 04:47 AM The PDA is fixed to the dash with 3M clip lock which is a new type of velcro. it is purchased in stick-on strips about 60mm long / 20mm wide and can be cut to size so no hole need to be drilled and can be removed at any time with damage. The cliplock system has the same male and female surface so you dont get the fuzzy side like traditional velcro.I also stuck some on the back of my phone so it can also be attached.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>where can I get this 3M clip lock velcro?? cheers
