In a sraight line at a drag strip you will be faster but on the street or around a race track your 3yo out of warranty taxi would get its ass kicked that's why you pulled out of the challenge Cro set and he was even going to race with his stock std T now run off and tell the kids at Hungry Jacks drive through how quick you car is

Got to agree with all of that. I would suggest that not only would Steve get hosed by the slow FPVs around any track you would care to choose, but that the slow FPV drivers could also pedal the 80k "Purple Menace "down the quarter faster to boot

Has anybody ever killed there ECU using the Edit? Does the edit change the autos boxes shift charateristics?

Guys, the only reason you are picking on Steve is because (no offence Steve) but he isnt the most experianced of drivers around here. End of the day, track driving has got diddly squat to do with total power, its more the total setup of the car. Now you guys are just plainly talking sh*t....sorry, but you are !! Challenge somebody who knows how to corner their cars and they'll chop you all in their Type R's, Skylines, 350Z and other less powerfull cars !!!!

Julien, what did you run at the track ??? If I recal your clutch burnt out or something.....Perfect example, should I go screaming out that Edit is sh*t cause a typhoon with edit ran a sh*t time.....this is what you guys are doing, making calls without looking at reason !!

Jeff, true my car hasnt ran a 12 yet however there is perfectly good reason behind that. My car has run a 13.3 second pass with a slipping clutch, confirmed not only by my mechanic but by the DNF run that I pulled when the clutch packed it in on the same night. Now with a new clutch, ill take her to the track again and will post up the time slips when I go. On this point though, again, you miss the point !!! End of the day, running on the track again means sh*t all unless you know how to drive, therefore, you really cant compare 2 products when you have differences in driver ability !!!!

As for MG, his first run had the car going sideways and he still managed a 12 second pass.!!! Wait till he gets used to running on slicks then we shall see what time he pulls..id say it will be ALOT better then an 11.9...PS, I was expecting you to show at the track that day, perhaps a bit of a run ???

Anyhow, end of the day, all this comes down to is the fact that you blokes have no respect for somebody elses opinion, and once somebody mention's anything but your precious edit you all jump at the chance to cut their throats.

Firstly , I am not the most experienced nor skilfull driver around myself.

Secondly people who could not drive a stick up a dead cops date shouldn't call anyone slow irrespective of talk.What is the car set up for?? Boasting of total power only is for Dyno queens. Put up or shut up so to speak

Correct ,I ran a blistering 18 @ ~ 100ks with a smoked clutch.Did I go screaming that unichip blew the CVs on my T ?? Of course not and I didn't .So your point is what exactly?

Get real , as if I am going to say yep I will run any modded auto with significantly more power . Hiding to nothing chip or not. That said I am happy to come down to WSID to try and better my 18. If you want to line up that's cool as well.

Could be a bit of fun, and I am easy win or lose as to me it does't matter whether it's chip or edit. We are both happy with our respective options, each to their own.I did run a PB with a Unichip granted, if Edit was an option I would have gone quicker... simple

You are also right in saying Master G will get quicker , of that I have no doubt

That said Unicip for me was not without it's shortcomings

I highly doubt that as according to tests the GT corners slower than a Focus.
