Hi,

I've been lurking for a while, picking up tips..have finally bought one. :kissmy:

Hope the info below might help anyone looking to buy now - there are still some "roll-out" cars around:

The Perth dealerships vary enormously in attitude and pricing. One quoted me full retail on a car with "Huge Roll-out Deals" stuck to the windscreen - and wouldn't negotiate at all :kissmy:

Eventually bought a Mercury silver with FPV mats & steering wheel, tinting, pollen filter and 12 months Rego for just over 56k incl all taxes, delivery etc.

The discount from full price was $9.5k

There were a number of faults on it when the day came to collect it (mostly bits interior & exterior trim not right). This shouldn't have happened, but as I was given an XR6 whilst the problems were resolved, it was dealt with well enough.

Have put 2,000 on it already, and love it. There have been a few niggles, but nothing to stop me enjoying it.

A few comments you guys have made have proved very true: The front spoiler has chips on it already, the traction control comes on way too early, and the build quality won't frighten European/Japanese manufacturers.

Having said that, what a car!!

The performance and comfort for the money is outstanding.

You can thrash it, cruise on thre highway or drive through town, and its happy doing any of the above.

Planning to put a few more k's on it before modifying..

Congratulations. When fully run in and at full power you will learn to overlook the build issues. When you mod it you will just be looking at the cars disappearing in the mirrors. Well done on the deal, that's a great price.

That's an excellent price. Which dealer did you purchase it from?
