Anyway heres some pics sorry bout the quality camera showing its age.looks hot how much and where did u get the shakers fromO.k the price was $250.00 and I will post details when I get home. What I had to do was take a couple millimetres off as it is sold as a stick on with 3m tape.I removed the tape took 3 mill off would have liked to have taken a bit more off to make it look slimmer, but didn`t want to risk it.It was purchased silouhette, but you might be able to get it in your color. The holes were cut out and it was stuck on with sikaflex.I got my panel beater to respray it and the bonnet together.

seventytwo Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel. A quick check of how good a vent is to use short wool tuffs taped to the egdes of the vent and just in side. when travelling at moderate speed you should be able to tell if air is being sucked out, pushed in or is stagnate. A good place for this type of testing is Autospeed, its well worth the price of subsrciption.

harlee Member 29 Member For: 20y 4m 8d Gender: Male Location: Canberra Posted 11/11/05 09:44 AM Share Posted 11/11/05 09:44 AM Stang - does this form any part of the intake system - or just an outlet for hot air???<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Even if its just an outlet for hot air, it could lower under bonnet temperatures by over 10°C. Its ideally placed, at the point where the overbonnet airflow sucks hardest (a few inches infront of the windsheild), and its big enough to cover most of the central part of the bonnet....Rather than directly increasing power, it would alow the engine to make more power in a slightly more idealistic fassion, with the hot air being sucked out more efficiently, giving the cooling system maybe the slightest, oh so slightest, of helping hands....<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Sorry. On a normal XR8 bonnet there is no wind sucking going on at the back of the bulge. At 120klm's on the freeway, pouring rain, you can watch all the little drops of water dancing around, going no where, on the back of the bulge With the vents it might give it some "flow thru" ventilation, but not much sucking
