The only problem with 1 pipe into 2 cats back into 1 pipe is that it will only flow as much as the smallest point. If you want the most out of using 2 cats you would need to run the pipe from each cat to the back of the car and not merge it at all... If you run the two cats into one pipe you will have more pressure and hence less flow, unless the single pipe is big enough to flow the same amount as the two cats. So doubling the area of one 3 1/2" cat would give you what size hole?

The Herrod unit (which I think this is) is a dump pipe split into 2 cats and then into 2 separate pipes which bolts to the twin pipe flange of the factory exhaust.

Is any one making SMB Dump Pipe & Cat adapter to fit onto the factory system ? or is this a custom job and Exhaust place would need to do ?

Mine was a custom job that Nizpro made up when they fitted my SMB dump pipe and cat.
