by time i mean on the strip. ie time from the brake pedal (and switch) are released(just an example of a switch that could be used to trigger the timer on the ebc)....i dont mean for driving around in everyday traffic at overly rich mixtures..

All this can be done via the SCT software. Launch control and torque capping relative to rpm and gearing has been around for years with the LS1 tuning software.

How about you tune my F6? I'll sling APC $100 for dyno time, you do the rest.

I'll give you 2 hours, see what u can do??

No-One has used 'J' revision on mine, so you'l be in front to start with.

Seriously, why spend $800 - $1000 on a tuning box, another $200 to $???? on custom tuning, and then add an adjustable boost controller?

Technically, once the tune is set for a boost level and AFR's are adjusted for the desired boost level, altering the boost level from that point will cause the mixtures to become leaner or richer.

The SCT software does fuel mapping from TPS counts, not MAP. Therefore, increasing boost from the original tune will lean the mixture, reducing it will richen it up.

Isn't the point of having 3 slots to run 3 different tunes?

F6 map doesn't have the same control as XR6T map, ask Barry Batten, he had issues with Gregs' ( F6 map ) aswell, hence why he ran an XR6T map to get better results..

True, but Barry didn't have revision J of the software when he worked on Greg's ute a couple of weeks ago. It's available now...I have it.

Maybe Barry can have another go at no cost to Greg if that's what they want to organise.

I used the old software before barry helped me update mine to the latest revision to do these cars boost isue on bens was solenoid bleed capacity even at 100% dynoduty it droped off in boost the clicking is this ddi then reverted to controlled boost hence no clicking and less boost than simons.

I was actually impressed with simons tunes on yours and dannopowers both good and verysimilar to mine!

Oh, and I've found a conversion for my O2 sensor voltages to AFr's so I can now plot on excel.

Although, will the O2 sensor being narrrow band be as accurate as the wideband sniffer??

yes between 14-15.4:1

even if you had a 4 or 5 wire wideband you would still need correct temp comp for it to be accurate!!!

Nick I believe you have been having some long days tuning, maybe its time to have a good rest, as there is absolutely no where in the software that you can have different torque levels for different gears Not with boost not with throttle and not with spark. Also if what you are saying fuel mixtures change when boost levels change that would mean if you were cruising at 3000 rpm and went to full throttle before max boost was achieved the engine would go rich. Again this is not correct. The system dose look at TPS but it also has a map sensor that adds or subtract pulse width to correct the fuel mixture to the desired mixture table. Go get some sleep Nick

think you better hit the books as even jason in this thread says almost the same!!!!

fact is been done just as trans shifts and etc were done before the suposed tables were created!!!!

how is this so?

I dont know just cause I play dumb don't mean I am!!!!

Do I even mention wog got 270 rwkw from a manual XR6T with stock everything??

I saw the flasher box come out of the wrapper..................... donor car was as stock as the day it left fomoco.

its not posible on std injectors you know we had this argument a year ago!!!
