Just got back from testing a BF 6 speed auto in the Turbo, one word....AWSOME

It was so different to the 4 speeder. It almost fealt like a Constant Variable Transmission at light throttle, the changes were not very noticable, but you can feel them under WOT.

The car's gearbox is smart, if you are backed off coming to a get of lights, it will downshift to assist the slowdown.

It felt sharp and precise, unlike any Ford I have ever driven. Sure to say I will be ordering the ZF6 for the F6 as it is a great comprimise for a manual driver who needs an auto.

This gearbox is going to make the BF's a worthy upgrade.

Sounds awesome Mal!!

So when will you be ordering your F6??

Oo and how the breaking system and handling of the BF is compare to the BA

And also exhaust note?? Is it still the same as the BA?? louder or softer??

Thanks

Dal.

I did not get a chance to throw the car around, but it felt tight (only 32km) as it was new.

The exhaust is noticably louder. Not as loud as my car with the 2 hodogs, but it does have a nice growl to it.

As far as the ordering the F6 is conserned......I will know tomorrow if all the figures work out.

I was shown the hail damage on my car that I had forgotten about as it is hardly noticable, this will lower my tradein as I may be best to get it fixed first then trade it in.

When I was testing it I was in manual mode and booted it off the line, I had forgotten that I was in 2nd, so the car did not take off as good as I thought. I booted it and then hit the limiter in 2nd, nearly going through the windscreen. It is nice that Ford have not gone the BS manual mode and make the car change gear without wanting it to.

The next run I selected 1st and booted it, I almost broke traction in Drive on a dry road. It felt so strong and the power was very liniar.

I bet the next test pilot will appreciate the 200 rating I would have left the gearbox with.
