Unfortunately the BA ecu does not have a tacho output, so you wont be able to connect an aftermarket tacho / shift light directly.

We will be releasing our Shift Alert modules in the next neek, which is a small module that gives alert beeps similar to the ones emitted from the FPV cluster, as well as two outputs, one is a shift light output, which you can connect to any 12 volt light, and the other is an aux output which you can use to trigger anything you like, based on RPM.

Both outputs (shift beep and light is one output, the aux is the 2nd) can be triggered at user definable RPM - the unit can be programmed by laptop.

I got a tacho too. I just had a brainstorm. I have an Xede, which when plugged into laptop, it will display rpm. Reckon I could get the rpm signal from there? See, Xede's are useful afterall.

Pre-orders are being taken on our website, pricing is on there also.

Hello,

Will this kit be as easy to install as the shift kit you sell? as I am not a very technical person but can do basic soldering.

Cheers,

Brett,

Yes, the shift alert module is fairly easy to install. The minimum install is 3 wires, one to the ecu and two to the fuse compartment. Complete instructions are supplied as well as more detailed instructions online.
