Dyno Day In Newcastle, Nsw.

Hi all,

After reading a few of the recent posts, I have realized that there are a fair few members here that are in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, and much to thier good luck, I have only meet 1 so far, so I was going to try and arrange a Dyno Day, all welcome to come, but have it at a place in Thornton, right at the end of the freeway for the sydney guys if they like.

Please post if you are interested, I am hoping to keep the price to around $50. per car with a few runs, so if you have a flash tuner, you can run all your tunes.

SUNDAY IT IS, 22/01/2006

Kick of from about 9 am, Ill be there from 8.30am, happy to have company, there will be a BBQ breaky for any who want it, Bacon and Egg rolls , OJ, coffee tea etc.

Sausage sizzle from about 10.30-11.00 am, cold drinks etc all day.

Door prize of a 700ml bottle of Wild Turkey, drawn on the day by John (owner of RX) each car dynoed gets an entry, real easy.

I have a Laminator organized if any one wants there sheets done.

I will also have room in a big 110 lt esky if refreshments require cooling.

There is a BP servo with ultimate within 1 min drive and a Caltex within 3 mins with Vortex 98, the nearest Boost 98 outlet is about 30mins return trip from the venue.

Below is a map from whereis.com.au showing from the expressway to the Venue, 2 mins tops.

Map 1 shows from the end of expressway, go straight through the big round about onto Weaklys drive, follow to end, left at lights towards maitland on New england highway, right straight away at lights onto thornto rd, up to round about, left into Glenwood.

Pipeclay creek is about 500 meters up on RHS, RX eng is about 200meters down on RHS, next to big bus depot. my ute will be out the front, Lightning strike Mk1 with XR8 bonnet.

If there is anything I have missed, please let me know, its the first time I have tried to put one of these together.

I am putting up the Turkey for the Raffle.

Drinks will be $1. with a donation to froum of any profits from food and drink for the day.

Dont know about $$ for food, I will wait and see how much it costs me.

Thornton, Is that going to be at RX Engineering? I would be very keen to come and have a look.

No, I didnt even know they were there, I am hoping it will be at Newcastle Performance Center, guys there are very helpful, Clean Tidy workshop, the young guy who runs the dyno really knows his stuff, they run a two car BMW team in the super tourer series, seem to go pretty well to, won the round not long ago, always up the pointy end. I will be seeing them tonight or tommorow morning.

I'm from Newcastle area too.

OK,

Spoke to the owner this morning, He is happy to hold the day, just gotta work on him on price, he is a little $$$, but we will see.

He would prefer to have it on a Sunday, more room to park cars, less traffic etc in the complex, I imagine less people will be working on a Sunday too.

There is abarby there, I can supply esky/drinks etc.

I will keep guys updated, but please post if your keen.

Start throwing some dates in if you like.
