Was it the rush you got when taking the turbo for a test drive and feeling the power rush when you hit boost? Or was it the promise of huge power gains that become available with minimal mods? Or do you just like the sound of a vlt type intercooler flutter? lol What was it?

Boostin' Member 9 Member For: 19y 1m 7d Location: Sydney Posted 28/10/05 10:21 AM Share Posted 28/10/05 10:21 AM Well I havent got one yet, but im not too far off it.But this is why I am interested in one:I grew up on a staple diet of Holdens and bought my first car a VL. I owned 2 VLs and loved the sound and feel of a boosted 6.I then got sick of the domestic market and how they just would not go with technology I.e. Run a car without pushrods and decided to go with something completely different. Rotaries. I owned 2 FC RX7s 1 of which I still have and am restoring. My first RX7 a series 4 ran 11.8 and was a good fun bit of gear. But the reason I have been transferred to being interested in all things a Falcon lol, is because it is a very good car. It has the looks to match the performance and such a large potential. Also for mine there is nothing better than the sound of a Turbo 6. I will be doing a good deal of commuting very shortly and the Falcon fits into the equation perfectly. It is a very quick but yet comfortable car that gets respectable economy and from the one I have driven is a pleasure to drive. Such a great all round package. I went to the Syd Motor show when they first were released and had a good close look at the T. What a great motor car. I heard reviews liking the engine to one of a BMW, Motor Mag said it was the best Aussie Mussle car in 2002. Drove one and never looked back. I must say every time I drive this fantastic car of mine it puts a smile on my face, The turbo rush, exhaust note...Im off for a cruse...
