Nope I didn't really like the fabric pattern either.

You can sidestep this by ordering the iDesign XR Luxury pack for the XR Model (XR6 NA, XR6T and XR8) so the seating is in leather with fabric inserts and it gets the ICC centre console module out of the Ghia ie 'prestige' sound system, dual zone climate control and the color TFT screen. (which presumably means that you can add satnav or the reversing camera from the TS and Ghia Territory as a retro fit sometime).

The shifter on the 6 speed when you put into the Performance mode doesn't have the longish travel of the 4 speed auto 'box either so it's seems to be more user friendly and quicker to make the changes. The 6 speed has the grade logic control which the 4 speed gets as part of the BF update but was in Territory from the get go.

The XR6T gets DSC standard and the bigger brakes out of the Territory parts bin too. Ford is still in run out mode here in NZ we aren't scheduled for the BF to go officially on sale for another week or so.

Mine is due sometime around Christmas.

Hi all,

Well, put the DSC/TC into action quite a few times today in my new BF XR6T. Still getting used to the way the XR6T lays down the power and the roads in Melbourne were wet this morning which made me fish tail a bit from standing starts from the lights.

Here's my car:

Ford Falcon BF XR6 Turbo

Mud Splatts

Things that I've also noticed are:

- There seems to be more plastic reinforcing in the boot. I guess to ensure heavy items don't deform the mat that lays in the boot too much.

- I suspect the glove box is smaller. Does not seem to hold as much as my previous BA XR6 did. I suspect when they made it so that the one key does the ignition and glove box that Ford actually got new plastics for the glove box lid (which also is the compartment for the glove box) when the put in the new lock mechanism.

I must add that the flash does not really do the pics justice still. The Nexus Blue actually looks quite good in the flesh (against black Silhouette anyway...)

Well done - looks great - did you take some trim off around the shifter?
